Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-time Early Childhood Educator to join our team, as Nominated Supervisor for Patches Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) Service.

Our successful candidate will Supervise After School Care and Vacation Care at North Cottesloe Primary School. You will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children to learn and grow. The Early Childhood Educator will work collaboratively with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement our OSHC Program for K-Year 6 students
• Create a safe and welcoming environment that promotes learning and exploration
• Observe and assess children’s development and progress, and communicate with parents and caregivers
• Collaborate with other professionals, such as exercise physiologists, speech therapists and occupational therapists, to support children’s individual needs
• Maintain all aspects of OSHC compliance requirements, including accurate records and documentation of children’s progress and development, child and family feedback, and student and staff logs.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
• Our service uses FullyBooked and you will be required to support families with registration, and aspects of relevant data entry for registration, and CCS.

Qualifications:

• Qualifications to be a Nominated Supervisor for an OSHC service in WA, including a Diploma OR Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
• Certification or licensure as an Early Childhood Educator
• Experience coordinating an OSHC service.
• Knowledge of the National Quality Standards and Regulatory Framework related to OSHC services.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with parents, caregivers, and other professionals
