Workshop Diesel Mechanic

Porter Plant is seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our Heavy Mechanical team at our Shepparton Workshop with some Field Service responsibilities. You’ll work primarily on trucks, civil and road maintenance equipment both in and out of the workshop.

Your day-to-day will be scheduled by our Branch Manager, giving you the freedom to focus on what you do best—preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, and servicing across a diverse fleet.

Your day will consist of ..

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance efficiently
• Diagnose faults across a range of equipment
• Conduct servicing at required intervals
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures
• Go out into the field attending breakdowns as required

To be considered for this position you will need

• Heavy Diesel Mechanical Trade Qualification (Essential)
• Valid car licence (HR & forklift licence desirable)
• Strong planning and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and ability to work autonomously
