Description

Summary:

The Laboratory Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a laboratory, ensuring that all activities are conducted in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. They manage a team of laboratory technicians and scientists, and work closely with other departments to ensure that laboratory results are accurate and timely.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage laboratory operations, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
  • Develop and implement laboratory policies and procedures to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
  • Supervise laboratory staff, including hiring, training, and performance management
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that laboratory results are accurate and timely
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies, and ensure that they are properly calibrated and maintained
  • Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure accuracy and reliability of laboratory results
  • Manage laboratory data and records, and ensure that they are properly stored and maintained
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and make recommendations for process improvements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as biology, chemistry, or medical technology
  • 5+ years of experience in laboratory management or a related field
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other departments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety regulations and quality standards
  • Experience with laboratory equipment and software systems
