Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Facility Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operations, maintenance, and management of our facilities. The Facility Manager will ensure that the building systems, services, and infrastructure are well-maintained and functioning efficiently, while also managing budgets, staff, and vendor relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of the facility, including building systems, equipment, and grounds.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and ensure that all facilities are maintained to a high standard.
  • Manage and supervise facility staff, including maintenance workers, cleaners, and security personnel.
  • Coordinate and oversee the work of external contractors and service providers.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Develop and manage facility budgets, including planning and monitoring expenses related to maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities to identify and address any issues or areas for improvement.
  • Implement and manage security systems and protocols to ensure the safety and security of the facility and its occupants.
  • Manage facility-related projects, such as renovations, upgrades, and relocations, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.
  • Handle emergency situations and provide solutions for facility-related issues as they arise.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to facility operations, maintenance, and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in facility management or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle emergency situations effectively.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in facility management software and tools.
