Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for protecting our organisation’s information systems from cyber threats by implementing security measures, monitoring systems, and responding to incidents. The Cybersecurity Specialist will work closely with IT and other departments to safeguard sensitive data and ensure the integrity and confidentiality of our digital assets.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices to protect the organisation’s information systems and data.
- Monitor network traffic, systems, and applications for security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct regular security assessments, including penetration testing and vulnerability scanning, to identify and address potential risks.
- Respond to and investigate security incidents, including data breaches, malware infections, and unauthorised access attempts.
- Implement and manage security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption solutions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant cybersecurity regulations, standards, and frameworks (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
- Provide guidance and support to other departments on cybersecurity best practices and risk management.
- Develop and deliver training programs to raise awareness of cybersecurity issues among staff.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Experience with security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certification in cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) is preferred.
