Help build the future of OT at Pop Family

At Pop Family, we believe every Australian deserves access to exceptional allied health care, no matter where they live. We’re now bringing that same telehealth model to Occupational Therapy and we’re looking for a passionate, experienced Senior OT to be one of the founding members of our OT team..

This is a rare opportunity to shape a brand-new clinical service: you’ll confidently manage a generalist paediatric caseload,  mentor the junior clinician who joins alongside you, and lead our capability in NDIS Functional Capacity Assessments (FCAs) – a service our existing clients urgently need to secure their ongoing NDIS funding.

Salary: $110,000 – $115,000

Why Pop?

We know that exceptional client outcomes start with excellent clinicians, so we’ve created an environment where you’ll be supported, challenged and empowered to do your best work.

  • Professional development that grows with you: an annual PD allowance, paid PD leave, a personalised learning plan, and external supervision with a relevant Occupational Therapist.
  • Everything you need to succeed: a company laptop, resource box, subscription allowance, home office and data allowance, and dedicated IT support.
  • Paid parental leave: available after 12 months of employment, because family matters.
  • Performance-based bonuses: for clinicians who exceed their clinical targets, on top of a competitive salary.
  • Genuine flexibility: work from home, from anywhere in Australia, while staying connected through team huddles, regular supervision, and in-person social events throughout the year.
  • Admin support: Heidi Health to help you manage your caseload and complete your documentation. Our administration team completes your billing for you!

Everything we do is guided by our values of Excellence, Holistic Care, Courage, Ownership and Providing Value.

About the Role

You’ll manage a varied caseload of both private and NDIS clients, delivered entirely via telehealth, working with children and adults across; emotional regulation, sensory processing, feeding therapy and other generalist areas.  You will complete functional capacity assessment for NDIS purposes.

As our senior clinician, you’ll take the lead on FCA report writing and clinical quality, contribute to our clinical SOP manual and QA processes, and provide day to day clinical guidance and informal mentoring to our junior OT as they build their skills.

You’ll work alongside Pop’s existing team, including 80+ Speech Pathologists to deliver holistic, collaborative care, and you’ll have direct input into how our OT service, and clinical resources are set up as the team grows.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist with 5+ years experience who is confident working autonomously, has a genuine interest or established expertise in NDIS Functional Capacity Assessments, and is excited by the challenge of helping build a new service from scratch.

You’ll thrive at Pop if you:

  • Have substantial post-registration experience as an OT, including demonstrated experience writing high-quality NDIS Functional Capacity Assessment reports.
  • Have demonstrated experience working in an Australian private practise
  • Have demonstrated experience or a genuine interest in emotional regulation, sensory processing and/or paediatric feeding therapy.
  • Are passionate about delivering exceptional, evidence-based client outcomes.
  • Believe in the power of telehealth to improve access to care, and have demonstrated experience providing telehealth to paediatric clients.
  • Are comfortable working independently while holding yourself to a high clinical standard.
  • Enjoy mentoring others and contributing to a team’s clinical growth.
  • Are organised, accountable and proactive in managing your caseload and documentation.

You’ll Also Need

  • A recognised occupational therapy qualification (degree accredited by the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia, or an equivalent approved international qualification).
  • Current general registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (AHPRA) or be eligible for registration.
  • Ability to meet AHPRA’s registration standards on an ongoing basis: continuing professional development, professional indemnity insurance, criminal history check, English language skills and recency of practice.
  • A Medicare Provider Number (or eligibility)
  • A current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain one before starting).
  • A current Working With Children Check, valid in your state or territory.
  • Australian working rights.
