The Roles
Both roles will manage a caseload delivered via telehealth, working with children and adults in a generalist caseload with a focus on emotional regulation, sensory processing, feeding therapy and NDIS Functional Capacity Assessments, a service our existing clients urgently need to secure their ongoing NDIS funding. You’ll work alongside Pop’s existing team, including 80+ Speech Pathologists, to deliver holistic, collaborative care.
Senior Occupational Therapist
This is a rare opportunity to shape a brand-new clinical service: you’ll confidently manage a generalist paediatric caseload, help define how we deliver OT care, mentor the generalist clinician who joins alongside you, and lead our capability in NDIS Functional Capacity Assessments (FCAs) a service our existing clients urgently need to secure their ongoing NDIS funding.
You’ll manage a varied caseload of both private and NDIS clients, delivered via telehealth, working with children and adults across; emotional regulation, sensory processing, feeding therapy and functional capacity assessment for NDIS purposes.
You’ll work alongside Pop’s existing team, including 80+ Speech Pathologists to deliver holistic, collaborative, and you’ll have direct input into how our OT service, supervision model and clinical resources are set up as the team grows.
You’ll thrive in this role if you:
- Have substantial post-registration experience as an OT, including demonstrated experience writing high-quality NDIS Functional Capacity Assessment reports.
- Have demonstrated experience working in an Australian private practise
- Have demonstrated experience or a genuine interest in emotional regulation, sensory processing and/or paediatric feeding therapy.
- Are passionate about delivering exceptional, evidence-based client outcomes.
- Believe in the power of telehealth to improve access to care, and have demonstrated experience providing telehealth to paediatric clients..
- Are comfortable working independently while holding yourself to a high clinical standard.
- Enjoy mentoring others and contributing to a team’s clinical growth.
- Are organised, accountable and proactive in managing your caseload and documentation.
Generalist Occupational Therapist
You’ll join at the ground floor of a new service line, with structured onboarding and close supervision from our Senior OT and clinical leadership team, so you can build your skills and confidence from day one.
You’ll build your caseload gradually, with growing exposure to NDIS Functional Capacity Assessments as your skills and confidence develop, and you’ll be closely supported as you learn our telehealth model, clinical systems and documentation standards.
You’ll thrive in this role if you:
- Have completed an accredited occupational therapy qualification.
- Are enthusiastic about working with children and adults across emotional regulation, sensory processing and feeding therapy.
- Are curious about or keen to develop skills in NDIS Functional Capacity Assessments.
- Believe in the power of telehealth to improve access to care.
- Are coachable, reflective and motivated by continuous learning and growth.
- Are organised, accountable and proactive in managing your caseload.
You’ll Also Need
Both roles require:
- A recognised occupational therapy qualification (degree accredited by the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia, or an equivalent approved international qualification).
- Current general registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (AHPRA), or be eligible for registration.
- Ability to meet AHPRA’s registration standards on an ongoing basis: continuing professional development, professional indemnity insurance, criminal history check, English language skills and recency of practice.
- A Medicare Provider Number (or eligibility).
- A current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain one before starting).
- A current Working With Children Check, valid in your state or territory.
- Australian working rights.
