About the Role 

Reporting to the Production Manager, the purpose of the Quality Control (QC) Officer is to support Plungie’s growth and vision by ensuring all products leaving our facility meet the highest standards of quality through:

• Inspecting and auditing incoming materials, in-process products and finished products to make sure they meet our quality standards and specifications.
• Recording inspection results in iAuditor and keeping accurate quality records up to date.
• Identifying and investigating non-conformances, using root-cause analysis to fix issues and stop them recurring, and reporting trends to management.
• Managing the product release process, moving products on hold to approved or rejected status in a timely way.
• Supporting production staff with on-the-floor training and working with teams to improve our processes and quality outcomes.
• Taking part in internal and external audits, working with the WH&S, Quality and Warranty Manager to put quality changes into practice.

About you 

To be successful in this role you will have

• Previous experience in quality assurance or quality control in a manufacturing, production or industrial environment.
• A strong eye for detail, with the ability to spot small discrepancies or deviations from quality standards.
• Proven problem-solving skills, including experience with root-cause analysis.
• Strong organisational and documentation skills to keep compliance records accurate and up to date.
• Clear communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working with teams and contractors.
• A hands-on, proactive attitude, including taking initiative, owning results, and being comfortable working on the production floor, which involves standing for long periods, climbing ladders, doing some lab testing, and working around industrial noise.
