Description

We are looking for a strong administrator who is great with people and ready to learn.

Are you organised, adaptable and confident working with people, numbers and competing priorities?

PlanCare is looking for the right person—not necessarily someone who ticks every box. If you bring a positive attitude, strong administration and customer service skills, and a willingness to learn, we’re prepared to provide training and support.

Experience in finance administration, accounts payable, a call centre / customer service centric environment or the NDIS would be highly regarded, but it’s your reliability, flexibility and commitment that will set you apart.

About the opportunity

This is a hands-on operational role supporting NDIS participants to manage their plan funding with confidence. You’ll process invoices, claim funds from the NDIS, monitor participant budgets and provide clear, responsive support to participants, families and service providers.

You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute ideas, improve how we work and help shape PlanCare as we continue to grow.

The position is offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract. While ongoing employment cannot be guaranteed, further opportunities may become available for the right person, subject to performance, business needs and PlanCare’s anticipated growth.

What you’ll be doing

Reporting to the NDIS Team Leader, you will:

  • Process participant and provider invoices accurately and efficiently.
  • Claim participant funds through NDIS systems.
  • Administer participant budgets and accounts payable requirements.
  • Monitor funding and help participants understand how their budgets can be used within NDIS guidelines.
  • Respond to participant, family and provider enquiries with care and professionalism.
  • Troubleshoot invoice, funding and system issues.
  • Build trusted, long-term relationships with participants and other stakeholders.
  • Keep up to date with NDIS requirements, policies and system changes.
  • Help develop useful information and resources for PlanCare participants.
  • Contribute to process improvements, compliance and business growth.

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • A strong and highly organised administrator.
  • Customer-focused, approachable and responsive.
  • Accurate, methodical and confident working with numbers.
  • Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment.
  • Hard-working, dependable and willing to pitch in when needed.
  • A clear and professional written and verbal communicator.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Motivated to learn, grow and take ownership of their work.
  • Committed to compliance, quality and delivering a positive participant experience.

You will also need:

  • The right to live and work in Australia.
  • An approved NDIS Worker Screening Check – or a willingness to obtain one.

Highly regarded—but not essential

We’d especially like to hear from you if you have:

  • Customer service / call centre, Finance administration, or accounts payable experience.
  • Previous experience in NDIS plan management.
  • Knowledge of NDIS funding rules and guidelines.
  • Experience using NDIS systems, including MyPlace or PACE.

Don’t meet every requirement?

Please don’t let that stop you from applying.

If you have the right attitude, excellent administration and customer service skills, and great work ethic and a genuine willingness to learn, we want to hear from you. We’re willing to train the right person.
