Peninsula Hot Springs is an award-winning wellness destination nestled within the natural beauty of the Mornington Peninsula. Our grounds feature diverse landscaped gardens, productive kitchen gardens, native plantings, open spaces, and bushland areas that play a vital role in creating a unique guest experience.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Full-Time Gardener to join our Land & Environment Team. Working alongside a passionate and supportive team, you will help maintain and enhance our extensive gardens and natural landscapes while contributing to environmentally sustainable land management practices.

About the Role

As a Gardener, you will be responsible for the ongoing care, presentation, and improvement of our gardens and natural spaces across the property.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform hands-on garden maintenance including weeding, pruning, planting, mulching, watering, and pest management
  • Assist with landscape development and improvement projects across bathing, accommodation, food production, and bushland areas
  • Maintain indigenous, native, and ornamental plantings to a high standard
  • Operate and maintain a range of gardening tools, machinery and equipment, including mowers, brush cutters, hedge trimmers, blowers, utility vehicles and other horticultural equipment, ensuring all work is carried out safely and efficiently.
  • Contribute to sustainable land management and environmental improvement initiatives
  • Support the overall appearance and health of the Peninsula Hot Springs landscape

About You

You are a reliable, physically fit and experienced gardener who enjoys working outdoors, is confident using a wide range of horticultural equipment, and takes genuine pride in maintaining landscapes to a high standard.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience operating and maintaining gardening and landscaping equipment in a commercial environment
  • A current manual driver’s license and confidence driving utility vehicles and equipment across a large site.
  • Demonstrated experience in gardening, landscaping, horticulture, or a related field
  • Sound plant knowledge, including familiarity with Australian native and indigenous species
  • A strong work ethic and the ability to work productively both independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude
  • A commitment to safe work practices
  • A qualification in Horticulture, Parks & Gardens, or a related discipline (desirable)
