Description

About Us

Peninsula Hot Springs is a multi-award-winning wellbeing and spa destination located on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula.

We are passionate about creating unforgettable experiences where people can relax in nature and connect with their sense of wellbeing.

With over 400 team members, we are committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences and service excellence. We foster a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative workplace where people are encouraged to be authentic, courageous, and innovative.

We are committed to supporting the growth and development of our people, providing opportunities for learning, career progression, and meaningful work.

About The Role

Reporting to the COO, the Facility Manager is responsible for the leadership, performance and continuous improvement of all physical assets across Peninsula Hot Springs, including maintenance, capital works, infrastructure, and land and environmental systems.

A key focus of this role is to establish and lead a structured Asset Management Framework — improving asset visibility, maintenance planning, lifecycle management and long-term investment decisions.

You will lead an integrated team across maintenance, capital works, and land & environment, working closely with operations and water teams to ensure the facility is safe, reliable, well-presented and operating at a high standard, with minimal disruption to the guest experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading facility operations across maintenance, capital works, and land & environment functions
  • Establishing and driving the asset management framework, including CMMS, asset data and maintenance planning
  • Improving preventative maintenance and reducing reactive work across the site
  • Ensuring all buildings, infrastructure and essential services are safe, reliable and well maintained
  • Overseeing capital works and asset renewal programs, including planning, prioritisation and delivery
  • Managing landscape, ecological and external environments in alignment with sustainability and guest experience
  • Driving WHS compliance, risk management and regulatory adherence across all facility activities
  • Managing budgets, asset renewal forecasting and contractor performance
  • Leading and developing supervisors across multiple disciplines
  • Working closely with operations and water teams to ensure aligned priorities and outcomes
  • Contributing to long-term asset planning and continuous improvement initiatives

About You:

You are a practical and capable facilities leader who understands how to manage complex sites and teams, while also building structure and discipline around asset management.

You are comfortable working across strategy and delivery — able to set direction but also stay close enough to the detail to ensure outcomes are achieved.

You will also bring:

·Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary operational teams

·Strong background in asset-intensive environments (facilities, infrastructure or maintenance)

·Experience implementing or improving asset management systems (CMMS, asset data, planning)

·Experience managing capital works and maintenance programs

·Strong financial capability, including budgeting and capital planning

·Excellent stakeholder and contractor management skills

·A collaborative, hands-on leadership style

·Strong understanding of WHS and regulatory compliance

·Ability to balance operational delivery with longer-term planning
