OHSC Educator

Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated OHSC Educator to join our team in Cottesloe and Fremantle, working approximately 20 hours per week. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality educational experiences for children in our out-of-hours school care program. Your passion for education and child development will help create a nurturing environment that fosters learning and growth, ensuring that each child feels valued and supported.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging educational programs tailored to the needs of children in out-of-hours school care.
• Create a safe and inclusive environment that promotes positive behaviour and social skills.
• Collaborate with parents and guardians to support children’s learning and development.
• Monitor and assess children’s progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of children’s activities and progress.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and organisational policies.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

• A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or a related field.
• Experience working with children in an educational or care setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in education.
• First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
• A valid Working with Children Check.
