The Role

As our Engineering Coordinator, you’ll be the go-to person for administration, communication and workflow support across the hotel. You’ll play a key role in managing contractors, maintaining office processes, and ensuring information flows efficiently between various operations within the hotel and departments.

This is an opportunity to step into a dynamic position where no two days look the same—your strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and ability to manage competing priorities will set you up for success.

General Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative support, including answering calls and emails, maintaining minutes and following up on outstanding requests.
  • Coordinate contractors, ensuring all sign-in and compliance procedures are followed.
  • Create and manage purchase orders and track outstanding items.
  • Liaise with the Finance team to keep payments up to date and resolve any queries.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments to support operational needs.
  • Assist the team by prioritising daily tasks and managing incoming requests.
  • Contact contractors for maintenance and facilities-related requirements.
  • Attend committee meetings as needed, contributing administrative support and follow-ups.
  • Build working knowledge of FCS and other internal systems (preferred).

About You

You’ll bring a positive attitude, strong organisational skills, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy. You’re confident building relationships with internal teams and external contractors, and you enjoy keeping workspaces and processes running efficiently.

You’ll bring:

  • Previous experience in a similar office coordination or administration role
  • Competency using Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Strong organisational skills, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy
  • Clear written and oral communications skills, and ability to build stakeholder relationships
  • A positive attitude, and collaborative mindset
  • Previous experience in hotels or hospitality industry desirable, but not necessary

Pay & Conditions

This is a part-time Level 4 position under the Hospitality Industry (General) Award. The working hours of the role are 09:30 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday – Thursday (flexibility with days can be accommodated).
