Caloundra, Sunshine Coast QLD Full-Time | Competitive Pay Based on Experience

Caloundra GWM is looking for an experienced and capable Automotive Technician to join our growing workshop on the Sunshine Coast.

We are specifically looking for an experienced technician who can work confidently and independently within a busy dealership environment. A minimum of 5 years’ post-trade experience and a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent) are essential.

About the Role

Working within our Caloundra GWM Service Department, you will be responsible for carrying out servicing, repairs, diagnostics and warranty work across a modern and rapidly growing vehicle range.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out scheduled servicing, repairs and maintenance
  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
  • Completing warranty repairs and manufacturer campaigns
  • Accurately documenting work performed and diagnostic findings
  • Identifying additional repair and maintenance requirements
  • Following manufacturer and dealership processes
  • Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and workshop safety
  • Working collaboratively with our Service Advisers and workshop team

What We’re Looking For

To be considered for this position, you will need:

  • Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a qualified Automotive Technician
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
  • Experience working in a dealership environment highly regarded
  • Good mechanical and electrical knowledge
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently
  • High attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
  • Strong reliability and work ethic
  • Current Australian driver’s licence

Previous GWM experience is not essential. Manufacturer training and support will be provided.
