About the role
This is an exciting 12-month fixed-term opportunity to join Pace Farm as Quality Manager, providing maternity leave cover and leading our quality assurance function across our egg processing and grading operations. Reporting to the Compliance & ESG Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining our Quality Management Systems and driving continuous improvement at our grading sites, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, customer requirements and regulatory obligations across multiple sites.
The role provides leadership to our Quality Assurance and Laboratory teams while overseeing quality systems, HACCP programs, internal and external audits, supplier compliance, customer quality requirements and export documentation. Working closely with operational leaders across our processing facilities, you will drive a strong food safety culture, support continuous improvement
initiatives, manage risk and ensure our products consistently meet the highest quality standards. This role also involves regular travel to our processing and grading sites to conduct audits, provide operational support and build strong relationships with site teams.
Please note this role will see you work out of both our Minchinbury site and our Norwest Head Office.
What you’ll do
- Develop and maintain quality assurance systems, policies and procedures.
- Manage the Quality Management System (QMS), HACCP and food safety programs.
- Lead quality assurance activities across multiple processing and grading sites.
- Conduct and manage internal, external and customer quality audits.
- Drive continuous improvement and food safety initiatives across the business.
- Lead, coach and support the Quality Assurance and Laboratory teams.
- Manage customer quality requirements, complaints and approved supplier programs.
- Coordinate audit schedules and maintain quality compliance documentation.
- Ensure compliance with export requirements and regulatory standards.
- Partner with operational teams to embed quality, compliance and food safety excellence.
About You
Are you a quality professional who thrives on setting high standards, leading by example and making a real impact? You bring proven experience in quality management within food, FMCG or pharmaceutical manufacturing, backed by strong knowledge of HACCP, quality management systems and auditing. You’re a confident leader who enjoys developing others, building strong relationships and working collaboratively across multiple sites. You’re organised, solutions-focused and never compromise when it comes to food safety, quality or compliance. What We’re Looking For
- 3-5 years proven experience in a Quality leadership role within the food, FMCG or pharmaceutical industry.
- Qualifications in Food Science, Food Safety, Quality or a related discipline.
- HACCP Principles & Applications and ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certifications.
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing quality teams.
- Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems, food safety and regulatory compliance.
- Confident facilitating training, leading HACCP meetings and managing internal and external audits.
- Highly organised, collaborative and solutions-focused, with a passion for continuous improvement.
- A current driver’s licence and the flexibility to travel to regional sites, including occasional overnight stays to, the Newcastle region, regional NSW and the ACT.
- Willingness to work out of both our Minchinbury and Norwest sites each week.
