Description

Can you turn search into sales? Oxworks is looking for an SEO Content Specialist to make us the first stop for every Trade customer researching a job.

You’ll own our search strategy and job-based content, making sure Oxworks is found, trusted and chosen at the moment customers are planning their work. With a website relaunch on the way, a new Trade App and a growing range of online tools, you’ll make organic search a measurable sales channel, working hand in hand with our E-Commerce Developer, UX/UI Designer, Digital Content Creator and external Google Ads Consultant.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and run an SEO strategy built on keyword and search-intent research across Trade jobs, products and locations.
  • Plan and manage a content calendar of job-based guides, how-tos, buying guides, project planners, FAQs and video scripts.
  • Write, edit and publish accurate, engaging, SEO-optimised content for category, product and landing pages.
  • Make our calculators, configurators and custom tools easy to find, with landing pages that rank and convert.
  • Build a terminology and synonym library (trade terms, brand names, regional names, common misspellings) so customers find the right product however they search.
  • Protect and grow our rankings through the website relaunch: URL mapping, 301 redirects, structured data and pre- and post-launch audits.
  • Run technical SEO audits and brief fixes to our E-Commerce Developer.
  • Manage local SEO for every branch, including Google Business Profiles and store pages, in support of Click & Collect.
  • Work with our Google Ads Consultant so paid and organic search work together to lift conversion and return on ad spend.
  • Track and report monthly on rankings, traffic and organic revenue, and adapt content for AI-driven search such as Google AI Overviews.

About You:

  • You have 3+ years’ SEO experience, ideally in eCommerce, with ranking and organic revenue results to show for it.
  • You’re an excellent writer who can explain practical, technical subjects clearly to a Trade audience.
  • You’re strong at keyword research and search-intent analysis.
  • You’re proficient with GA4, Google Search Console and tools such as Semrush, Ahrefs or Screaming Frog.
  • You know technical SEO, including site architecture, structured data, redirects and Core Web Vitals.
  • You’ve managed local SEO and Google Business Profiles.
  • You’re comfortable publishing in a CMS or eCommerce platform, with working knowledge of HTML.
  • Experience managing SEO through a website relaunch or platform migration is highly sought after.
  • Knowledge of fencing, building materials, hardware or trade supply, Google Ads and Merchant Center, or video/YouTube SEO is a bonus.
  • You hold a current driver’s licence.
