We are seeking a reliable and highly motivated Sales & Warehouse Officer to join our Smithfield Branch in a full-time position, operating 7:00am – 4:00pm Monday to Friday.

This is a varied, hands-on position ideally suited to someone who enjoys working with customers while also being comfortable getting involved in the day-to-day operation of a busy warehouse. You will work across both sales and warehouse functions, helping our customers from their initial enquiry through to the accurate preparation and collection of their order.

The Role

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Warehouse Operator’s primary focus is to:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to retail, trade and walk-in customers across phone, email and face-to-face.
  • Prepare quotes, process sales orders and assist customers with product requirements.
  • Pick, pack and check customer orders accurately, ensuring they are complete, on time and damage-free.
  • Receive, check, store and maintain accurate stock, including assisting with stocktakes and cycle counts.
  • Work collaboratively with the branch, sales and warehouse teams while following company policies, procedures and safety requirements.

You will be an important link between our customers and warehouse operations, helping ensure orders are processed accurately and efficiently.

What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • Previous experience in sales, customer service and/or warehousing, ideally in a trade, manufacturing or building products environment.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills across face-to-face, phone and email.
  • Good computer skills, with experience using MS Office, CRM or ERP systems advantageous.
  • Ability to confidently work across both customer-facing sales and hands-on warehouse duties.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management and ability to multitask within a team.
  • Current Driver’s Licence and Forklift Licence, or willingness to obtain one, with the ability to safely perform manual handling duties.
