Description

As Finance Officer at OC Real Estate, you will take ownership of the financial and administrative processes that keep our finance functions running accurately and on time. Working at the center of a fast-paced real estate environment, you’ll gain direct exposure to commission structures, agent settlements, compliance and daily reconciliations, building a finance skill set that is both broad and commercially grounded. 

This is a full-time role based at Eastwood, built for an individual who is an early career finance professional (1-2 years of experience in this discipline), is growth-oriented and ready to pursue a long-term career in this field. From day one, you’ll be supported by a structured onboarding and induction plan, giving you the foundation to hit the ground running and develop real confidence across the full scope of the role. 

 

The Role 

As our Finance Officer, you will: 

  • Accurately process and allocate deposits, commissions, and settlement files 
  • Set up and update commission structures, keeping records compliant and current 
  • Prepare and issue agent commission statements on time and with precision 
  • Reconcile bank accounts daily in Xero, resolving any variances quickly 
  • Maintain the settlements register and story sheets to support accurate reporting 
  • Support new starter onboarding by preparing financial profiles and commission setups 
  • Keep licensing and compliance records up to date across all regulatory requirements 
  • Respond clearly and promptly to finance and commission queries from internal stakeholders 
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and contribute to transformation initiatives that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and the overall experience of our people and clients. 

About You 

To be successful in this role, you are: 

  • Holds, or is working toward, a qualification in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline – with 1–2 years of hands-on experience in a finance or accounting environment 
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift and reactive problem-solving is part of the day 
  • Communicates clearly and confidently with internal stakeholders, understanding how to ask the right questions and keep people informed 
  • Takes a proactive approach to work, identifying priorities and acting on them with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy across all tasks 
  • Well-organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
