About the Role

Looking to build experience in events, marketing, project work and administration while working in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment? Wade Institute is seeking two reliable and motivated students to join the team as Wade Interns, ideally with an interest in entrepreneurship. Wade Institute is a business unit of Ormond College delivering a range of entrepreneurial and investor education programs, including VC Catalyst, VC Fundamentals, UpSchool and the Master of Entrepreneurship. The Intern role supports the team across administration, project work, events and marketing. This is a casual student employment position, with weekly hours available by agreement with the Wade team during semester, including support for events and peak periods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with event and classroom set-up (including AV and check-ins)
  • Supporting venue coordination and administration
  • Helping with event promotion and marketing tasks
  • Assisting with research and project work
  • Taking photos at events
  • Recording hours accurately for payroll

  • Professional, reliable and proactive
  • Interested in entrepreneurship
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible to work agreed semester hours (plus occasional evenings/weekends)

Eligibility

Applicants must be 18 years or older and 2nd or 3rd year Ormond residential student in 2027. 

Successful applicants will also need to hold or obtain a Working with Children Check (Employee) and complete a GBV declaration if successful. 

Students may hold a maximum of 2 casual Ormond roles at one time.
