Garden Assistant 2027
About the Role
Ormond College is seeking a Garden Assistant to join our Property and Gardens team. This is a great opportunity for a student who enjoys hands-on outdoor work to help maintain the College’s grounds and gardens, working alongside the Senior Gardener and wider Property and Gardens team.
Key Responsibilities
Duties may include:
- Garden weeding, leaf raking, planting, mulching and path restoration
- Sweeping and cleaning paved areas, and picking up rubbish
- Irrigation work and trenching
- Hedge cutting, pruning and transplanting plants
- Leaf blowing and mowing lawns
- Other duties as directed by Leadership
Eligibility
Applicants must be 18 years or older and 2nd or 3rd year Ormond residential student in 2027.
Successful applicants will also need to hold or obtain a Working with Children Check (Employee) and complete a GBV declaration if successful.
Students may hold a maximum of 2 casual Ormond roles at one time.
