We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Barista to prepare and serve high-quality coffee and food items while delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced café environment. The ideal candidate takes pride in their craft, maintains a clean and organised workspace, and creates a welcoming experience for every customer.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items to a high standard
• Operate and maintain commercial coffee machines and equipment
• Provide friendly, attentive, and efficient customer service
• Take customer orders accurately and handle payments
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café, counter, and workstations
• Assist with stock control, inventory management, and ordering supplies
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace health & safety procedures
• Work effectively as part of a team during busy service periods
Skills & Experience
• Previous barista or customer-facing hospitality experience preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and consistency in drink preparation
• Basic cash handling and POS experience desirable
• Willingness to learn and take feedback
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Barista or food safety certifications are an advantage but not essential
