Opes is looking for experienced contractors to support the delivery of a complex project in Canberra. We are seeking professionals with demonstrated expertise, a strong delivery mindset, and the ability to operate effectively in secure, high-assurance environments.

About the role

As a Wintel Engineer, you’ll build and configure Microsoft Windows server infrastructure and core enterprise services to approved standard operating environments. This is a hands-on build role.

What you’ll be doing

  • Building and configuring Identity and Access Management services using Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) and Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS)
  • Configuring Windows Server roles including DNS, DHCP, File and Print services
  • Building Windows operating system Standard Operating Environments (SOEs)
  • Configuring Microsoft SQL Server instances
  • Managing Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), including associated endpoints and deployments
  • Implementing multi-factor authentication (MFA)
  • Troubleshooting faults, maintaining build documentation and following change control

What we’re looking for

  • Hands-on build experience across Active Directory and Active Directory Federation Services
  • Strong Windows Server capability, including DNS, DHCP, and file and print services
  • Windows Server SOE build experience
  • Experience configuring Microsoft SQL Server instances
  • MECM administration, including endpoint and deployment management
  • MFA implementation experience
  • The ability to work unsupervised and deliver defined workstreams to a consistent standard

Clearance

You must hold a current Australian Government security clearance at NV2 or above. Opes is not sponsoring new clearances for these positions. Only applicants who currently hold the required clearance will be considered.
