🚀 Ready to take your QA career to the next level?
At OMG, we’re not just another digital agency. We’re Australia’s largest independent digital marketing agency, helping more than 1,000 businesses grow since 2012.
With a team of 200+ Growth Gurus, we combine cutting-edge SEO, PPC, and Paid Social strategies with a relentless focus on delivering real, measurable results. Our investment in innovation and continuous learning has made us one of Australia’s best-rated and most respected digital agencies!
🌏 Why join us?
At OMG, you’ll work on campaigns that genuinely make an impact. You’ll collaborate with some of the brightest minds in digital marketing, tackle complex SEO challenges, and continuously grow your expertise in a high-performing, supportive environment.
🔍Are you a detail-oriented QA professional who enjoys finding issues before they reach clients and helping delivery teams produce reliable, high-quality websites? As part of the Implementation QA team, you will play a key role in validating website changes, checking critical user journeys and ensuring completed development work meets agreed requirements before release.
The Implementation QA Specialist is focused on practical, risk-based validation rather than exhaustive testing of every website element. The role works closely with Implementation Developers, Project Managers and other delivery stakeholders to identify defects, provide clear feedback and support a consistent release process.
As a Implementation QA Specialist, your core responsibilities would include:
- Perform QA validation on completed Implementation tasks before release.
- Validate that core functionality related to the task works as expected.
- Confirm that primary user journeys are not broken by implemented changes.
- Test forms, links and calls-to-action to ensure they function correctly.
- Check desktop and mobile layouts for visible errors, broken sections and usability issues.
- Perform basic regression checks on key areas such as the header, footer and other areas affected by the change.
- Follow the standard enterprise user journey: homepage, navigation, intended pages, primary CTA paths, mobile experience and critical layout checks.
- Perform ecommerce user journey testing, including product browsing, add-to-cart, cart updates, checkout, payment gateway, order confirmation and confirmation email.
- Clearly document defects and provide developers with enough information to reproduce and resolve issues. • Re-test fixes and confirm that identified issues have been resolved before approval. •Identify potential regressions or risks outside the immediate task scope and escalate them where appropriate. • Work with developers and project managers to prioritise critical issues and maintain delivery timelines. • Help maintain and improve QA checklists, standards and testing processes as the QA function grows.
- Support consistent QA practices across Implementation projects and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
- Maintain accurate QA task updates and communicate blockers, risks and outcomes clearly. Core QA Validation Standards

- Hands-on experience testing websites, preferably across WordPress, Shopify and other CMS or ecommerce platforms.
- Strong attention to detail and an ability to identify visual, functional and usability issues. • Experience testing responsive websites across desktop and mobile breakpoints.
- Understanding of core website functionality including navigation, forms, links, CTAs and ecommerce journeys.
- Ability to follow structured test cases and checklists while also applying good judgement to identify risks not explicitly covered.
- Strong written communication skills and the ability to provide clear, actionable defect reports
- Ability to work collaboratively with developers and project managers in a fast-paced delivery environment.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a strong sense of ownership.
- Ability to prioritise critical issues and distinguish between defects that block release and lower-priority improvements.
- Comfortable working independently while escalating issues or uncertainties when required.
- Experience with browser developer tools, screenshots/video capture or other tools used to demonstrate defects is advantageous.
- Experience with ecommerce testing and checkout/payment flows is highly regarded. • Experience working within a digital agency environment is highly regarded.
- Experience using AI and automation to improve QA efficiency is highly regarded.
