We are looking for a motivated, passionate person to utilise their skills as an allied health therapist in supporting school leavers and adults with disabilities to explore their strengths, gain practical employment experience, and find meaningful employment. We are looking for both Full-time and Part-time candidates for this role.
As an Employment Counsellor, you will use tools, assessments and draw on your expertise to provide skill development training, strategies for success, and confidence building activities to ensure a positive pathway to sustainable employment. You may also provide support with social and independence skills development as part of a holistic approach to achieving goals, building confidence and living a fulfilling life.
As one of Australia’s leading NDIS providers for employment outcomes, this is an exciting opportunity for a part time or fulltime position within our NDIS Team, working alongside a
team of dedicated youth consultants, employment coaches and other allied health practitioners.
This role is closely aligned with Omnia’s core mission of supporting young adults with disability to build independence, capacity, and meaningful employment pathways.
In this position, you’ll:
- Work across a variety of settings, including our local offices, within the community, and in the workplace
- Provide relevant assessment and counselling services to our participants to assist in building skills, confidence and strategies for long term employment success
- Deliver tailored, hands-on employment supports to individuals and small groups of participants, ensuring a tailored approach to individual needs, goals and interests
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with the customers and internal stakeholders
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with employers
- Manage your own caseload with autonomy and organisational support

Essential: An allied health qualification, ideally as a counsellor, rehabilitation counsellor, registered psychologist or social worker, and that you are registered with the affiliated body (ACA, PACFA, AASW, AHPRA, ASORC)

Essential: Full Drivers Licence (Pool Car Available)
