ABOUT THE ROLE

Omega Chemicals is on the lookout for its next #OmegaGem to fill its Packaging W’house Manager role. Full training will be provided, and ongoing support and guidance will form part of an ordinary work week.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Production of packaged materials

• Production of bulk blended products

• Production Scheduling and ensuring all packaging material is available.

• Liaise with Customer Service Department, Procurement Manager, Accounts Manager and Plant Manager

• Manage SAP entries and monthly stocktake

• Manage staff using Employment Hero for weekly timesheets, leave requests, performance reviews, and other people matters.

• Supervision of maintenance jobs and packaging staff.

• Maintenance planning and scheduling

• Stock control, including rotation

• Housekeeping and amenities

• Arrange product testing and ensure the product passes QC before being packed/filling

• Formulation supervision

• Daily production and stock reports (Raw materials, finished goods, customer/Omega labels)

• Product filling (IBCs, polys and drums)

• Develop/revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

• Provide training and maintain training records.

• Full compliance with PPE requirements, keeping a stock of PPE

• Any job that is within your skills and capabilities

• Incident reporting and investigation
