About the Role

Join our Operations team and play a vital role in safely operating, maintaining and optimising our field assets across the Surat Basin. Working within a close-knit operations team, you’ll enjoy a varied role that combines civil works, plant operations, maintenance and field production activities in a safety-focused environment.

Reporting to the Asset Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for supporting the safe and reliable operation of our production facilities while helping maximise field performance. This hands-on role offers variety, autonomy and the opportunity to work across a broad range of operational and maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor gas wells and production facilities to optimise field performance.
  • Perform civil maintenance including grading access tracks, maintaining rights of way, vegetation management and site housekeeping.
  • Complete routine inspections and maintenance of wellheads, pipelines, pumps, compressors and associated equipment.
  • Assist with plant start-ups, shutdowns and equipment fault finding.
  • Perform pipeline pigging, load-outs, product transfers and testing activities.
  • Conduct vehicle and machinery inspections and maintain equipment to a high standard.
  • Complete maintenance records and operational documentation using the Works Management System.
  • Work safely under permit-to-work systems while maintaining high environmental and safety standards.
  • Participate in risk assessments, incident investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.

You are a safety-focused operator who enjoys working in a small team and takes pride in your skilled machinery handling, and maintaining equipment and facilities to a high standard.

To be successful you will have:

  • Previous experience working in conventional gas field operations or a similar industrial environment.
  • Sound mechanical aptitude and experience maintaining equipment in hazardous environments.
  • Good knowledge of gas processing, pipelines, oil and gas wells or related infrastructure.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Current HR, DG, WP, CV & LF licences/ tickets
  • Mechanical trade qualifications will be highly regarded
