Lifestyle Officer | Permanent Part-Time or Full-Time | Fridays Essential

NoosaCare is a respected not-for-profit aged care organisation located in the heart of the Sunshine Coast. We are seeking a passionate and creative Lifestyle Officer to join our team at Kabara, delivering engaging activities and meaningful experiences for our residents.

Working as part of a fun and diverse team, the Lifestyle Officer collaborates closely with clinical and care staff, volunteers, and external stakeholders to ensure programs are tailored to individual needs and preferences, including those living with dementia.

About the Role

This position is available on a Permanent Part-Time or Full-Time basis (4-5 days a week), with availability to work Fridays essential.

 

As part of our amazing Lifestyle team, you will:

  • Support the Lifestyle Team Leader in planning, implementing, and evaluating lifestyle programs that reflect the individual goals, interests, and capabilities of residents.
  • Conduct one-on-one assessments and regularly review care plans to ensure relevance and responsiveness to changing needs.
  • Facilitate group and individual activities that promote physical, emotional, cognitive, and social wellbeing.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and adjust content, resources, and delivery methods accordingly.
  • Monitor and observe residents’ interests, engagement levels, and preferences during activities to ensure programs remain meaningful and person-centred.
  • Prepare, and set up activities, special events, celebrations, and themed occasions throughout the year.
  • Support the Lifestyle Team Leader in collaborating with volunteers, families, care staff, and community groups to enhance resident participation and experiences.

 About You

  • Experience in aged care, including dementia support.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathetic, patient, and person-centred approach.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Relevant qualification (Certificate IV in Leisure & Health or equivalent)
  • Availability to work Fridays.
