Medical Receptionist – Casual – Cairns GP Superclinic

Receptionist required for busy General Practice in Cairns, casual rotational roster

Good availability for regular rotational rostering over 7 days

Customer Service skills required and empathetic nature

Morning, afternoon and evening shifts commitment

Join our busy 7 day General Practice in Medical Reception and Call Centre

While previous medical receptionist / call centre experience would be an advantage, candidates with a background in reception/administration, customer service or hospitality are encouraged to apply as on-the-job training will be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls and manage emails on a busy switchboard.
  • Book appointments and manage multiple diaries.
  • Greet patients warmly and maintain a friendly environment.
  • Ensure cleanliness and compliance with infection control protocols.
  • Handle patient enquiries and rescheduling, including challenging situations.
  • Assist healthcare professionals and perform administrative tasks.

Availability:

Approx. 4 to 5 shifts per week (25 to 35 hours).

Flexibility is required with shifts covering mornings, evenings, and rotational weekends during the clinic opening hours.

Current clinic hours: Mon-Fri 7am to 9pm; Sat-Sun 8am to 6pm, and open public holidays.
