Executive Operational Leadership Opportunity

 

Nganampa Health Council (NHC) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations delivering comprehensive primary health care services to Indigenous communities  the remote APY Lands of South Australia.

We are seeking an experienced executive leader to join our Senior Management Team as Business Manager based in Alice Springs. This pivotal leadership role is responsible for driving organisational performance, leading Business Services and ensuring the operational capability required to support health service delivery across one of Australia’s most complex and geographically dispersed service environments.

Reporting to the Health Services Manager, you will work closely with the Executive Director and Senior Leadership Team to provide strategic and operational leadership across a diverse portfolio including ICT, procurement, facilities, property, maintenance, fleet, administration, business improvement and strategic partnerships.

About the Role

As the Business Manager, you will:

  • Provide executive leadership as a member of our multidisciplinary Senior Management Team.
  • Lead the development and delivery of the Business Services Strategy
  • Drive operational excellence, organisational performance and continuous improvement
  • Oversee NHC’s property, facilities, fleet and asset management functions across remote locations.
  • Manage Business Services budgets and contribute to organisational financial planning.
  • Lead governance and risk management activities, including support to the Finance, Risk and Audit Committee (FRAC).
  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships

About You

You will bring:

  • Proven executive or senior leadership experience leading diverse operational service portfolios.
  • Demonstrated success developing and implementing organisational strategy and driving business performance.
  • Strong commercial, financial and business management capability.
  • Experience leading organisational change, governance, risk management and business improvement initiatives.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence at executive, Board and external partner level.
  • A leadership style that fosters accountability, integrity, collaboration and high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated cultural capability and the ability to work respectfully and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, communities and organisations.

Experience working within an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation, health, government or other complex service delivery environment will be highly regarded.
