We are seeking an experienced and values-driven Manager People & Capability to lead our people function and help shape the future of our workforce. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic HR professional who enjoys balancing organisational leadership with practical people solutions. Recognising the value of flexibility, we are open to considering either a full-time or part-time appointment for the right candidate.

About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Manager People & Capability provides strategic leadership across Ngala’s people function, ensuring workforce capability, culture, compliance and organisational development initiatives support the achievement of organisational goals.

You will lead a broad portfolio including:

  • Strategic workforce planning and capability development
  • Industrial relations and employment law advice
  • Culture, engagement and organisational development initiatives
  • Recruitment, onboarding and talent management
  • Learning and leadership development
  • Employee relations and performance management
  • HR policies, governance and compliance
  • Workforce reporting and HR metrics
  • Compensation and benefits oversight
  • Leadership coaching and support to managers across the organisation

About You

You are a seasoned HR leader, who combines strategic thinking with a practical, people centred approach. You are confident advising senior leaders, navigating complex employment matters and leading organisational change.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Degree qualifications in Human Resources, Employment Relations or a related discipline
  • Significant senior HR leadership experience (minimum 7 years)
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment law, industrial relations and workplace compliance
  • Experience leading organisational change and transformation initiatives
  • Demonstrated success developing and implementing HR strategies and policies
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving capability

Desirable

  • Experience within community services, health or the not for profit sector
  • Experience working with the SCHADS Award
  • Experience using Employment Hero or similar HRIS platforms
  • Passion for building diverse, inclusive and high-performing workplaces

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Hold a current National Police Clearance
  • Hold a valid Working with Children Check
  • Hold a current WA Driver’s Licence
  • Be willing to work across Ngala locations as required
