New Plumbing Solutions is building our team of Water Metering Technicians for upcoming projects – and we want to hear from you!

What You’ll Be Doing – A Day in the Life

This is a field-based role:

  • Start your day by checking your schedule
  • Head out to site in your fully equipped tool of trade vehicle
  • Attend approx 35+ residential or commercial properties per day
  • Perform field metering activities including Installing/replacing meters, installing/replacing data loggers and completing metering investigations, where required
  • Help our plumbers, as required
  • Accurately record meter specifications and site data using a mobile app
  • Log each completed job on our mobile app before moving to the next

Key Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:

  • Water Meter replacement & assembly maintenance.
  • Follow correct replacement procedures.
  • Customer Service – face to face and phone
  • Perform tasks within budgets and time frames
  • Communicate regularly with office support team
  • Maintain accurate and timely digital job installation records
  • Ensure that all tasks are performed in a manner consistent with state and company OH&S policies and procedures.
  • Work independently day to day and to a schedule

About You

We are looking for reliable and dedicated individuals to help us on a variety of ongoing projects. The ideal candidates will possess the following:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude – proficient with hand tools.
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic with a willingness to learn
  • An aptitude for problem solving
  • Attention to detail – Data Accuracy is a MUST!
  • Reliable, punctual, and capable of meeting deadlines
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • The ability to work under supervision both individually and occasionally in a team setting.
  • Able to do a lot of bending, squatting and walking (physical fitness)
  • Ability to work in most weather conditions.
  • Flexible and comfortable with daily travel
  • A current driver’s licence
  • A red/ white card
