Description

Build the Future of Warehousing at NPS

Lead the transition, embed the systems, and create the standard for how warehouse operations are run across Victoria.

As one of AFR’s Top 100 Fastest Growing Companies, New Plumbing Solutions (NPS) continues to expand its footprint across the utilities, water and infrastructure sectors.

We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on Warehouse Operations Manager to join our Metering & Connections division and play a key role in the next phase of our growth journey.

This isn’t a role where you’ll inherit a mature operation and simply maintain it. This is an opportunity to help shape what great looks like.

What Makes This Opportunity Different?

Over the next 12 months, NPS is transforming its warehouse operations. You’ll begin by learning the business and our operating model at our Laverton pilot site before progressively taking ownership of our Victorian warehouse network.

You’ll work closely with our operational leaders to:

  • Learn the NPS business, field operations and inventory requirements
  • Take over leadership of the warehouse function from the existing operational team
  • Embed Odoo and strengthen inventory discipline and reporting
  • Drive consistency across warehouse processes and governance
  • Support the next phase of warehouse transformation and growth

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building capability, improving systems and creating structure rather than simply maintaining the status quo.

What Success Looks Like

First 90 Days

You’ll focus on learning the NPS operating model, building relationships with key stakeholders and understanding our inventory environment.

You’ll:

  • Learn the operation through our Laverton pilot site
  • Build relationships with Operations, Supply Chain and Procurement leaders
  • Understand current inventory performance, stock holdings and warehouse processes
  • Begin embedding stronger Odoo discipline and reporting practices
  • Take over day-to-day warehouse leadership responsibilities

A Day in the Life

No two days are the same.

One day you might be on the warehouse floor conducting cycle counts, reviewing stock variances and coaching team members.

The next you could be partnering with Supply Chain, Procurement and Operations leaders to improve inventory performance, reviewing Odoo data, planning stock movements or supporting a satellite warehouse location.

You’ll spend time:

  • Leading and developing warehouse team members
  • Driving inventory accuracy and stock control
  • Reviewing operational performance and KPIs
  • Embedding process discipline and governance
  • Working closely with field operations teams
  • Supporting warehouse transformation and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensuring safety, compliance and operational excellence

About You

You are a hands-on operational leader who leads from the front.

You have:

  • 5+ years’ experience in warehouse, inventory or supply chain operations
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams in fast-paced environments
  • Strong inventory management and stock control capability
  • Experience implementing or improving warehouse systems and processes
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • The ability to balance operational delivery with continuous improvement

Experience within utilities, construction, trade services, infrastructure or field service environments will be highly regarded.

Why Join NPS?

  • Opportunity to shape and improve a growing operation
  • Direct access to senior leaders and decision-makers
  • Be part of our Extended Leadership Group
  • Growing national organisation with genuine career opportunities
  • Collaborative and values-driven culture
  • Competitive remuneration package
  • A business that invests in its people and operational excellence

If you’re looking for an opportunity where you can genuinely influence outcomes, build capability and leave a lasting legacy, we’d love to hear from you.
