New Plumbing Solutions (NPS) is looking for an experienced Combi Truck Operator to join our Metering & Connections team.

Based from Northcote, you’ll work across sites throughout Melbourne, with occasional travel to Geelong, operating our Combi Truck across NDD/hydro excavation, jetting and water infrastructure works.

What you’ll be doing

Your day-to-day work will include:

• Operating the Combi Truck for Non-Destructive Digging (NDD)
• Jet cleaning sewer and stormwater pipes and pits
• Setting up sites and ensuring work is completed safely
• Managing NDD waste disposal at approved waste facilities
• Completing hydrant logs, waste documentation and job records
• Maintaining the truck, equipment and accessories
• Completing basic vehicle checks and inspections
• Supporting the wider field team with labouring and operational duties when required. 

What we’re looking for

You’ll ideally bring:

• Current Heavy Rigid (HR) licence
• Previous experience operating a Combi Truck, hydro excavation truck, NDD truck or similar
• Experience working safely around civil, plumbing, utilities or water infrastructure environments
• Hydro excavation training/competency – advantageous
• Confidence completing basic vehicle and equipment inspections
• A strong safety mindset
• Good communication and customer service skills
• A reliable, professional and team-focused approach.
