About the Role:
As a Disability Support Worker, your responsibilities will vary depending on the shift and client needs. Duties may include:
- Transporting clients to appointments and community activities
- Supporting clients with daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and general household maintenance
- Providing personal care, including showering, toileting, and dressing
- Administering and assisting with medications
- Supporting clients with behaviours of concern
- Engaging clients in meaningful activities that promote skill development and independence
- Completing administrative tasks such as scanning and renaming documents
Flexibility is essential for success in this role, as is a willingness to work across different sites and adapt to changing needs.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in disability or aged care (highly regarded)
- A genuine passion for supporting people with disabilities
- Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude
- Reliability, adaptability, and a proactive approach to care
- A current NSW Driver’s Licence and confidence driving beyond the Hawkesbury area, including to the city and Blue Mountains
Required Certifications (or willingness to obtain):
- CPR and First Aid
- Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Completion of internal training modules as part of induction
