Be part of a once-in-a-generation global sporting event as we prepare for the Netball World Cup Sydney 2027.
We are seeking an Accountant to join our Finance team and play a key role in supporting the financial operations of the Local Organising Committee.
About the Role
Reporting to the GM Finance, you will be responsible for financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting and forecasting, compliance activities, and providing valuable financial insights to support tournament delivery. In particular you will :
- Prepare monthly financial and management reports
- Manage reconciliations, journals, fixed assets and financial records
- Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow analysis
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, GST, BAS, FBT and audit requirements
- Contribute to process improvements and financial controls
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support successful tournament delivery
About You
Skills & Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related discipline
- Minimum 2 years’ accounting or finance experience
- Strong financial reporting and analytical skills
- Intermediate to advanced Excel capability
- High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
Highly regarded:
- Experience with Xero and Calxa
- Experience in sport, events, or not-for-profit organisations

This is a full-time role, based at Sydney Olympic Park, on a fixed-term basis through to September 2027.
