Role Overview:
As we extend our reach across Australia, we seek dedicated team members aligned with our vision. As a sterile compounding laboratory technician, you’ll work within our cleanroom environment to prepare sterile medicines — including injectables, ophthalmic preparations, and peptide formulations — to the highest standards of quality and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute aseptic compounding tasks under the guidance of Lab and Pharmacy managers.
- Prepare sterile products such as injectables, IV solutions, ophthalmic preparations, troches and peptide formulations.
- Work within a cleanroom/controlled environment, maintaining strict aseptic technique and gowning requirements.
- Operate and maintain sterile equipment (laminar flow hoods, isolators and associated apparatus).
- Support environmental monitoring, cleaning and contamination-control routines.
- Maintain and manage lab inventory and consumables.
- Undertake order processing, manage batches, and operate the compounding computer system.
- Complete batch records and documentation accurately in line with GMP principles.
- Respond to client inquiries and requirements when necessary.
- Adhere to NCC’s standard operating procedures and relevant TGA/PIC/S guidelines.
- Ensure cleanliness and handle other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Pharmacy Assistant or Compounding Technician certification.
- Experience and training in sterile/aseptic compounding.
- Exceptionally detail-oriented, disciplined and highly organised.
- Comfortable following strict protocols and documentation requirements.
- Ability to work efficiently and calmly under pressure.
- Quick learner with strong multitasking abilities.
- Can operate independently and meet strict deadlines.
Training:
Recognising the distinctiveness of sterile pharmacy compounding, all new hires undergo a tailored training regimen, including aseptic technique and gowning validation. We equip successful candidates with the necessary skills to excel in their role.
