Summary:

The Swimming Instructor will be responsible for providing swimming lessons and ensuring the safety and well-being of participants. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of swimming techniques, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to various age groups and skill levels.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct swimming lessons for individuals or groups, focusing on stroke development, water safety, and overall swimming skills.
• Create and implement lesson plans tailored to the needs and abilities of participants.
• Ensure a safe and secure environment by enforcing pool rules and maintaining constant supervision during lessons.
• Evaluate participants’ progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their swimming abilities.
• Assist in organizing and conducting swimming events, such as competitions or water safety programs.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and any incidents that occur during lessons.
• Communicate effectively with participants, parents, and colleagues to address any concerns or provide updates on progress.
• Stay updated on the latest swimming techniques, safety protocols, and industry trends through continuous professional development.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Swimming Instructor or lifeguard with a strong knowledge of swimming techniques and safety procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with participants of all ages and skill levels.
• Current lifeguard certification and CPR/First Aid certification.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
• Strong organizational skills to plan and execute swimming lessons effectively.
• Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for teaching swimming to promote a positive learning environment.
