Most importantly, you are committed to supporting Aboriginal communities and empowering your team to achieve meaningful outcomes.

To be considered for this position, it is essential that you have:

  • A qualification in community development, communications, Aboriginal history, law, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience developing & delivering Community Engagement Plans or other similar strategic collaborative planning.
  • The ability to solve problems, prioritise workload and work efficiently both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills adaptable to various audiences and sensitive to Aboriginal ways of working.
  • Exposure to Customer Relationship Management Databases and project management tools and/or willingness and capacity to upskill in this space.
  • Proven leadership and project management experience in complex stakeholder or client service environments.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strategic relationships with stakeholders
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A resilient, adaptable and empathetic approach, with the ability to manage complex and sensitive matters professionally.
  • Capacity to undertake regular travel for fieldwork and meetings, and experience working/travelling in isolated areas.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
