The National Association for Prevention of Child Abuse & Neglect (NAPCAN) is a national leader in child abuse prevention training and advocacy. We work to promote evidence-based practice and drive policy and systemic changes that place the wellbeing and safety of children and young people.
Your Role:
In this role you will be responsible for delivering the contractual obligations for the Northern Territory contract, ensuring its longevity and effectiveness in the NT community. By aligning the strategic priorities of the organisation, these help to create value and drive sustainable growth. Included in this role you will deliver engaging, evidence-based training and education to participants. Training will be in programs relating to prevention of harm, child safeguarding and wellbeing, and respectful relationships. Delivery will be both online and face to face.
You will contribute to the development, review and continuous improvement of NAPCAN’s education and training packages, using evaluation data, participant feedback and emerging evidence to ensure content reflects current legislation and best practice in child safety and respectful relationships education.
As a representative of NAPCAN, you will actively promote our values, mission, and prevention-focused, evidence-based approach in all interactions. You will build and maintain strong, positive relationships within the sector, community, and government agencies to support prevention and safeguarding initiatives.
Location: Based in Winnellie NT with travel required in the NT, including remote communities.

Essential Criteria:
- Experience working in senior position/s that require strong understanding of child development, and frameworks and strategies related to prevention of child maltreatment.
- Experience in preparing reports, submissions and proposals in government and/or not-for-profit environments.
- Knowledge of best practices in governance, risk management and contract compliance.
- Experience in developing and facilitating training packages.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement and maintenance of strong networks.
- Experience in working with diverse audiences, including adult learners and people from culturally diverse backgrounds.
- Experience working in/with regional/remote areas.
- An understanding of the issues affecting children and families in the Northern Territory.
