We are looking for a values-driven Financial Accountant to join our collaborative team. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will enjoy a varied, hands-on role across financial accounting, reporting, payroll, statutory obligations and treasury operations.

About the role

Working closely with the CFO and stakeholders across MoveBank, you will:

• Prepare financial reports, workpapers and reconciliations
• Complete month-end and financial year-end activities
• Support APRA and statutory reporting requirements
• Process payroll and complete related reconciliations
• Monitor liquidity and support treasury operations
• Maintain financial records, controls and the asset register
• Support audits, business cases and capital expenditure proposals
• Identify practical improvements to systems and processes.

About you

You are an organised and dependable finance professional who takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work. You enjoy collaborating with others, take ownership of your responsibilities and bring a thoughtful, solutions-focused approach.

You will bring:

• A qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline
• Financial accounting experience, including month-end processing, reconciliations and reporting
• Knowledge of accounting standards, taxation and statutory obligations
• Payroll processing or payroll support experience
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach.
• Experience in banking, financial services or another regulated environment will be highly regarded.
