The opportunity

With an exciting portfolio of ongoing and upcoming projects, we are looking for a Senior/Principal Mechanical Piping Stress Engineer to strengthen our already high performing team.

  • Brownfield modifications of offshore assets to ensure future reliable operation
  • Renewable hydrogen project development
  • Compression stations to ensure Australian energy grid resilience
  • LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) developments to boost energy security

Responsibilities

  • Work with Tier 1 client engineers and layout designers to assess solutions for offshore brownfield modifications and improvements
  • Concept review and selection for tier 1 operators
  • Prepare & review technical documentation
  • Prepare and review design deliverables including calculations, datasheets and reports
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary deliverables
  • Engage with equipment suppliers and fabricators on Tender Bid Evaluations

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • 15+ years experience as a Mechanical/Piping Engineer
  • Right to work in Australia
  • Experience in Oil, Gas or Hydrogen industries, specifically experience working with Tier 1, preferably across offshore and onshore facilities.
  • Proven experience in multi-discipline Greenfield and Brownfield engineering within oil & gas, LNG, energy, or major process facilities.
  • Strong technical capability across piping, pipe stress, materials, valves, and mechanical engineering, including CAESAR II or equivalent.
  • Experience with relevant engineering codes and standards, particularly ASME B31.3.
  • Proven Brownfield engineering experience, including the assessment and resolution of operationa and maintenance issues arising from existing facilities, as well as Brownfield modifications and design.
  • Proven ability to manage engineering interfaces and Client stakeholders within complex project environments.
  • Experience developing engineering deliverables for operating facilities, including design changes, technical queries, deviations, and modifications.
