About the Role:
This is a hands-on role with a variety of responsibilities that are essential to our winemaking process, including:
• Overseeing vintage winemaking operations from fruit intake to fermentation.
• Assisting in the development of daily work plans and preparation of cellar notes.
• Conducting wine analyses and interpreting results to maintain our high standards.
• Active involvement in cellar tasks as required.
What We’re Looking For:
We are seeking a dedicated individual who possesses:
• At least one vintage experience in a similar role.
• A degree in Oenology with a strong academic record and a sound understanding of scientific principles.
• Has familiarity with vintrace winery software or similar.
• A commitment to excellence and meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong time management skills, capable of juggling tasks in winemaking, laboratory, and cellar operations.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A positive, bright, and humble attitude with a passion for winemaking.
• Willingness to adhere to Mollydooker Wines’ systems and protocols.
• A current driver’s licence and reliable transport.
Details:
• This temporary role begins in mid to late February 2027 and extends through the completion of the 2027 vintage, approximately late April to early May.
• The role requires flexibility with extended hours, including weekends, public holidays, and shift work (afternoon shifts) during the vintage period.
• International applicants must hold a valid working visa.
