Operations Coordinator

$80,000–$90,000 + Super | Full-time | Yangebup

About the role

Mobistorage is looking for an experienced Operations Coordinator to take ownership of our daily delivery and collection operation across Perth.

This is not a passive administration role. You’ll be the person controlling the daily schedule, allocating work to our drivers, making operational decisions and keeping the day moving when plans inevitably change.

Every container delivery and collection runs through you. You’ll build and optimise driver run sheets, confirm customer requirements, coordinate containers and equipment, and make real-time adjustments when access issues, delays or last-minute changes arise.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys being at the centre of a busy operation — organised, decisive and calm under pressure, with the confidence to direct drivers and solve day-to-day problems without needing constant escalation.

What you’ll be responsible for

Scheduling & driver coordination

  • Own the daily delivery and collection schedule and translate confirmed bookings into efficient driver run sheets
  • Allocate and sequence jobs across our drivers, considering location, timing, equipment and operational capacity
  • Provide clear day-to-day direction to drivers and ensure they have everything required to complete each job
  • Monitor the day’s schedule and proactively reorganise runs when delays, cancellations or other issues arise
  • Pre-organise containers and equipment ahead of scheduled deliveries and assist with loading where required

Customer & delivery coordination

  • Confirm bookings, delivery windows, access requirements and site details with customers
  • Take responsibility for assessing whether customer sites are suitable for delivery, with full training provided
  • Act as the primary point of contact for delivery and collection timing enquiries
  • Identify potential delivery issues before the truck arrives and resolve them wherever possible
  • Communicate changes clearly to customers and drivers when the schedule needs to move

Operational control

  • Monitor and accurately record all container movements and weights
  • Track failed, delayed and rescheduled jobs and record the reason for each
  • Identify genuine capacity constraints in the delivery calendar and communicate these to the wider team
  • Maintain disciplined and accurate records in our CRM
  • Ensure calls, emails, enquiries and operational information are properly recorded and handed over

About you

You’ll ideally have 2+ years’ experience in operations, transport allocation, scheduling, dispatch, fleet coordination or a similar fast-moving logistics environment.

You may currently be working as a Transport Allocator, Transport Scheduler, Dispatcher, Fleet Coordinator, Logistics Coordinator or Service Scheduler and be looking for a role where you can take greater ownership of the day-to-day operation.

You’ll be someone who:

  • Is confident coordinating and directing drivers
  • Can make good decisions quickly when schedules change
  • Enjoys solving operational problems rather than escalating routine issues
  • Is highly organised and comfortable managing multiple moving parts at once
  • Communicates clearly and confidently with both customers and drivers
  • Has strong systems discipline and doesn’t tolerate loose ends
  • Is comfortable working with CRM, job-management and Microsoft Office systems
  • Takes ownership of a problem and follows it through to resolution
  • Remains calm and practical when the day doesn’t go according to plan

Experience in transport, removals, equipment hire, waste, freight, building-material delivery, courier operations or another scheduling-intensive environment would be highly regarded.

A High Risk Work Licence (forklift) is desirable but not essential. If you don’t already hold one, Mobistorage will fund the required training.
