We are an Australian-owned, nationally operating company providing specialised end-to-end Building Insurance Repairs.
We are on the looking for a full-time Assessor -Site Estimator with residential building experience to join Queensland team based in Ipswich. This role is ideal for a trade-qualified building professional who enjoys a combination of site inspections, technical assessments, stakeholder engagement, and detailed estimating.
As an Assessor – Site Estimator, you will be responsible for conducting building damage assessments, preparing detailed scopes of work, and developing accurate repair estimates that support insurance claim decision-making and successful project delivery.
In your new role, you will:
Working across residential insurance claims, you will:
- Conduct on-site and virtual property assessments
- Investigate and determine the cause, extent, and impact of building damage
- Prepare detailed scopes of work and repair methodologies
- Develop accurate labour and material cost estimates
- Produce professional assessment reports for insurers and clients
- Liaise with policyholders, insurers, brokers, loss adjusters, and specialist consultants
- Review specialist reports and provide recommendations
- Ensure all assessments comply with relevant building codes, Australian Standards, and insurer requirements
- Support seamless handover of projects into the repair delivery phase
- Assist during catastrophe and severe weather events when required
- Travel occasionally as part of the role.
About you

Working across residential and commercial insurance claims, you will:
- Strong experience in insurance assessing, estimating, or scope development
- Sound knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC) and Australian building standards
- Understanding of insurance claims processes and repair methodologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong stakeholder management and customer service skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple claims simultaneously
- A current Australian Driver’s Licence.
