Description

Product and Sourcing Manager

As we scale into new categories and markets, we’re looking for a Production and Sourcing Manager to take ownership of our Product Development department and lead the way we work with suppliers, both day to day and across the critical path. You’ll be the key link between Buying, our supplier base, our third-party quality control partners, and Operations, making sure product is developed on time, to spec, at the right cost, and delivered on schedule.

Based in Hong Kong, you’ll lead a team spread across Australia, Hong Kong, and the Philippines, so strong cross-cultural leadership and clear, structured communication across time zones will be central to your success.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage the critical path internally and with suppliers, keeping seasonal product development on track.
  • Proactively flag delivery timelines, risks, and changes to the Operations team.
  • Roll up seasonal POs and partner with Buying on cost negotiations, then raise POs in line with the critical path.
  • Own end-to-end supplier management: onboarding, terms, and commercial negotiation.
  • Grow our core sourcing regions (primarily China, India, and Turkey), sourcing new suppliers and categories to support our expansion.
  • Own QC reporting and our relationship with our third-party QC partner, including certifications and testing for global market expansion.
  • Support Operations with pre-emptive container space planning and aligned handover dates.
  • Manage packaging, container stuffing standards, and shipment handover documentation.
  • Maintain critical path trackers, PO rollups, and supplier reporting, and build Power BI dashboards on performance and cost.
  • Lead and develop the Product Development team across Australia, Hong Kong, and the Philippines, partnering closely with Buying, Merchandising, and Operations.

What You’ll Bring

  • Substantial experience in production, sourcing, or supplier management, ideally in rugs, soft furnishings, home textiles, furniture, or a related hardgoods/homewares category.
  • A proven track record managing overseas manufacturing suppliers across regions like China, India, and Turkey, including critical path management and QC.
  • Experience negotiating supplier terms, contracts, and per-order costs, with working knowledge of compliance and testing standards for key export markets.
  • Solid experience in container space planning, packaging, and shipment handover coordination.
  • Strong systems skills, with hands-on experience in Cin7 (or similar), Power BI, Excel, and Google Sheets.
  • Experience leading distributed, multicultural teams across countries and time zones.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across buying, operations, and suppliers.
  • A hands-on, highly organised approach that balances strategic supplier development with day-to-day detail.
