Merri-bek Early Years Management (MEYM) proudly manages 8 high-quality, sessional kindergartens in the Merri-bek municipality. We are a not for-profit organisation focused on delivering outstanding 3 and 4 year kindergarten to local families within the communities where our services operate.

MEYM is seeking enthusiastic and experienced cert III or diploma qualified educators to work within our services throughout the Merri-bek LGA. The successful applicants will deliver sessional, government funded kindergarten programs with the support and guidance of a highly qualified Early Childhood Teacher and a dedicated team of educators.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to engaging, play-based environments that foster children’s curiosity, creativity, and development.
  • Work alongside passionate educators and teachers, sharing knowledge, learning from diverse experiences, and contributing to strong educational outcomes.
  • Support children’s growth through positive role modelling, relationship building, and evidence-based teaching practices.
  • Champion children’s safety and wellbeing through vigilant supervision, respectful relationships, and adherence to MEYM’s child-safe policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate in planning and documenting learning experiences that reflect children’s interests, developmental needs, and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF).

Qualifications:

  • A current Working with Children Check (Employee)
  • First Aid, CPR, and Anaphylaxis training (HLTAID012 or equivalent)
  • Completion of a recognised Child Protection course
  • A current Police Check (within the last 6 months)
  • Mandatory reporting training certificate
