Description

Hi, we’re Frank – A Jaywing Agency.

We’re not just another agency; we’re a multi-award-winning powerhouse of creativity and technology.

Our team is a vibrant mix of talented creatives, innovative designers, strategic thinkers and cutting-edge technologists. Together, we’re not just solving problems—we’re redefining the standards of digital excellence.

Our impact is evident in the calibre of clients who trust us to drive their digital transformation. We collaborate with some of the world’s most respected companies and have a robust pipeline of exciting projects on the horizon.

And we’re on the hunt for a talented UX/UI Designer who shares our passion for excellence and innovation. If you’re ready to push boundaries, collaborate with the best, and be part of a team that’s constantly raising the bar, Frank Digital is the place for you.

Working alongside the Head of Experience Design and wider design team, you’ll shape the experience behind our clients’ digital products, from websites and mobile apps through to landing pages, eDMs and interface design. This is a UX-led role, so you’ll spend more of your week on research, structure and problem solving than on pixel polish, but you’ll still be the one taking your thinking through to a considered, high quality interface.

Your portfolio shows how you think, not just what you shipped. We’re looking for case studies that walk us through the problem, the research and insight behind your decisions, how the design evolved, and what changed as a result. A solid grasp of user journey mapping, information architecture, prototyping, usability testing, conversion rate optimisation and heuristic competitor analysis is what we’re after.

Day to day you’ll:

  • Frame the problem before designing the solution, using research, data, analytics and stakeholder input to work out what’s actually going on.
  • Own a project from brief through to delivery: discovery, user flows, site maps, sketches, wireframes, prototypes and interface design.
  • Plan and run usability testing, then turn what you learn into design decisions you can defend.
  • Map user journeys and information architecture for complex sites and products.
  • Design with accessibility in mind and build to WCAG standards as a default, not an afterthought.
  • Tap into the knowledge of our PPC, CRO and SEO teams so landing pages and websites are built to convert.
  • Bring ideas to the table for our clients, grounded in a genuine understanding of their customers.
  • Work closely with our internal development team and understand the technical realities of what you’re designing.
  • Try and test new tools, ideas and processes.
  • Use initiative and good time management to run multiple projects at once.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 6+ years in digital design, with the majority of that in UX focused work
  • Demonstrable experience running or contributing to user research and usability testing
  • Excellent working knowledge of Figma, including prototyping and design systems
  • Confidence presenting and justifying design decisions to clients and internal teams
  • A sharp eye for detail and quality in both layout and typography
  • Comfort working with analytics and behavioural data such as GA4, Hotjar or similar
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (mainly Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign) is useful but not essential
  • A strong sense of initiative and the ability to work autonomously
  • An organised, positive and hard working mindset, and comfort in a fast paced, dynamic environment, either in a team or independently
  • The ability to work within creative and digital brand guidelines and interpret briefs effectively

In return we’ll give you:

  • A commitment to develop you and your career aspirations.
  • A no blame culture.
  • A focus on diversity & inclusion, sustainability, and mental wellbeing.
  • Stunning office in the heart of Barangaroo close to the restaurants, bars, and the harbour swimming spot
  • A hybrid working model.
  • A fully stocked beer and wine fridge, impromptu BBQ lunches, sporting comps, team social activities, and a cracking end of year party.

Enviable benefits such as

  • Remote working; work from another time zone for up to 8 weeks per year
  • Birthday leave
  • A wellbeing day each year

So, if you’re a passionate UX/UI designer who can juggle multiple briefs/competing deadlines, can manage their own workload and priorities, is looking for a change of scene and wants to grow in unison with us – Jaywing would love to hear from you!

Jaywing are committed to building an inclusive and diverse culture, so if you’re doubting whether to apply for this role because you don’t meet every single requirement, we encourage you to still do so, there may be other opportunities with us where you are in fact the perfect candidate. Please let us know if any adjustments need to be made throughout the interview process and we will do our best to accommodate.
