Melville Cares is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Team Leader to join our team on a full-time permanent basis.

This is a hands-on leadership role where every day brings something different. You’ll work closely with our Community Workers, supporting them to grow, succeed and deliver high-quality services to our clients.

About the role

Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, you’ll play an important role in leading and supporting our team of Community Workers, including Support Workers, Domestic Assistants, Home & Garden Maintenance Workers and Transport Drivers.

Your days will include:

  • Leading, supporting and motivating a diverse team of Community Workers.
  • Providing supervision, coaching and performance management, including probation and annual reviews.
  • Building positive relationships and supporting the professional growth and development of your team.
  • Maintaining high standards of service delivery and ensuring activities meet relevant quality standards.
  • Ensuring compliance with policies, procedures and the Aged Care Quality Standards.
  • Responding to client incidents, feedback and complaints and supporting effective resolution.
  • Facilitating team meetings that encourage communication, engagement and professional development.
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding and workforce retention initiatives.
  • Working closely with our Scheduling and Coordination teams to ensure services are delivered efficiently.

What you’ll bring

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a leadership role.
  • Certificate III or higher in Individual Support (Ageing) or a related qualification.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills, with the ability to support Community Workers to grow and deliver high-quality services.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage conflict and facilitate and conduct training.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to understand and apply policies, guidelines, legislative requirements and funding requirements.
  • A clear commitment to the Core Values of Melville Cares.
  • ‘C’ class WA Driver’s Licence.
  • Strong Microsoft Suite and general IT knowledge and experience.
  • National Police Clearance less than 3 months old.
