Summary:

The Vehicle Registration Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of vehicle registrations and related documentation. Based in Eagle Farm, Queensland, this permanent full-time position is suited to an experienced registration professional with a minimum of 1 year’s registration clerk experience, preferably in a fast-paced automotive or dealership environment.

The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage high volumes of work while ensuring all registration requirements are completed accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Process vehicle registration applications and renewals accurately and efficiently.
  • Verify documentation and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Assist customers with inquiries regarding vehicle registration and provide guidance on required documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions and update databases as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve any issues related to vehicle registrations.
  • Prepare and issue registration certificates and plates in a timely manner.
  • Handle cash and electronic payments, ensuring accurate financial records.
  • Stay updated on changes in vehicle registration laws and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Must be QLD Transport Accredited
  • Previous experience as a registration clerk in a high-volume dealership
  • Sound Knowledge of QT rules and regulations including plate allocation and surrendering of plates.
  • Demonstrated experience in processing QT reconciliations
  • Proven ability to complete QT filing reports accurately and within required timeframes.
  • Practical experience managing QT audits and associated requirements.
  • Strong understanding of invalidation guidelines and their application
  • Working knowledge of concessional registration requirements and processes
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Confidence to exercise sound judgement when declining a salesperson request and ensuring all required documentation is accurate and complete before proceeding.
