The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Solicitor or Associate to join our Corporate & Commercial Division. Working closely with leading Principals, you will gain exposure to a broad range of commercial, property and franchising matters, advising a diverse client base across a variety of industries.
This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer looking to further develop their corporate and commercial practice within a supportive and collaborative team environment.
The Role
You will work across a broad mix of corporate and commercial matters, providing practical and commercially focused advice to clients.
Depending on your level of experience, your responsibilities may include:
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a range of commercial agreements, including service agreements, NDAs, distribution agreements, licensing agreements and shareholder agreements
- Assisting with business acquisition and disposal transactions, including asset and share sales
- Conducting due diligence and assisting clients through transactional processes
- Advising on commercial, rural and residential property matters, including acquisitions, disposals and leasing transactions
- Drafting and reviewing commercial leases, agreements for lease and option arrangements
- Assisting franchisors and franchisees with franchising matters and regulatory compliance obligations
- Preparing and reviewing franchise documentation
- Assisting with finance transactions, including loan and security documentation
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships while working collaboratively with colleagues across the firm
About You:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Approximately 2-5 years’ post-admission experience in corporate, commercial, property, franchising or a related practice area
- A genuine interest in developing their expertise across a broad range of commercial transactions
- Strong drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills
- A client-focused approach and the ability to build effective working relationships
